Civilian Deaths In War
In World War 1, about 50% of deaths had been Civilian with various data points pointing on to both sides of the half way line. In World War 2, just a couple of decades later, this has increased significantly to at least 60% (by conservative estimates). In Vietnam and the Korean Wars, likewise the Civilian toll has easily outnumbered the military ones.

While most of the defence personnel are surely men, many if not most of the civilians affected would be the Women and children. The kids bleed whether of Abraham or Ibrahim.
